Firestone

The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, founded in 1900, is an American tire company headquartered in Akron Ohio. It has been a cornerstone of tire manufacturing since inception. Over it's history, the company has been in hot water over the years for issues around tread separation, paying the Liberian warlord Charles Taylor, and the infamous Ford Explorer rollover problem. With all that said, I still believe this is a solid company, which has been a subsidiary to the Bridgestone Corporation since 1988.
