This is kind of a pedestrian ultra high performance summer tire. It sounds like an exotic performance category, and many tires in this arena utilize some pretty advanced technology. Not so for the Expedia S-01, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. These tires are commonly used as original equipment for sports cars, high horsepower coupes and sport sedans. Since these tires carry a summer rating, they are not intended to be used at near freezing temperatures or in snow/ice.
Since this tire is fairly generic, you can actually use it pretty easily in axel pairs (front or back, in pairs) or as replacements if other tires carry the same load and speed rating. Even though this tire doesn't employ a lot of fancy technology to achieve a high amount of grip, they do a really good job. Treadwear is pretty great too, for the performance category. Drivers report getting well over 30,000 miles out of a set on a regular basis -and that number includes limited track use. For the money, its a great tire to equip on your sporty car.
