Sumitomo has a number of tires that fall into their 'Enhance' lineup, and they are all solid tires designed to deliver good value for the driver in terms of a long treadlife and good ride comfort. The Sumitomo HTR Enhance C/X is no different than the others in this respect and it will do a serviceable job at keeping your crossover or SUV on the pavement. This tire is not over engineered, but it does have some good quality characteristics in that it has a 5-rib asymmetrical tread for even wear and it has an internal structure with Sumitomo's own Jointless Nylon Band technology to help with high speed stability.

This is one of the newer tires in the Sumitomo lineup and there are a number of drivers that I know right now are trying this tire out. So we don't have longevity data yet (but I'm thinking it'll be pretty good), but we do have initial impressions. I actually have one customer who has put this tire on his both his Toyota 4Runner, and his Porsche Boxster (that one against my recommendation). However the initial reports are very positive with drivers noting the great highway stability and even decent snow traction to my surprise. Compared to others in the performance category, the HTR Enhance C/X is a very competitive tire and one that should be considered if they make the tire in your size. While they mostly bring good value to the table, from what I'm hearing, they actually perform well too.
