The AVID S34B tire from Yokohama is a pretty standard passenger all season tire that has been developed to provide decent traction in all four seasons. This is a pretty common tire and you're likely to see it be used as an original equipment tire (OE) on a variety of coupes, sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, and even on some small trucks and SUVs. The tread pattern on this tire is pretty nondescript, so you can also find this tire used pretty often as a replacement tire if you've got a flat that can't be repaired. Among it's peers in the passenger all season segment, I'd slot this somewhere in the lower part of the top 10. Definitely a good choice if you just a need a solid run of the mill tire to get you some pretty cheap miles.
Even with the lower than average treadwear rating, this tire can still rack up about 60,000 miles before you'll need to replace them. Considering that these are often used as an OE tire, I'd say that's a pretty good deal for consumers. Overall, drivers tend not to stick with these tires when it comes to getting them replaced. Not too surprising considering that these typically come from the factory. Even though they make the top 10 in my book, I'd say it's worth looking elsewhere if you are in the market for passenger all season tires. Not that these won't do a decent job, they will, it's only that they are better tires on the market that will out perform and outlast these.
