This tire is a very high end original equipment (OE) tire used on a variety of sports cars, coupes, sedans. You're most likely to find these tires on the fast(er) versions of cars from Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. The S-02 uses a unique directional tread design, with rather large lateral grooves to get water from under the tire, and thus reducing hydroplaning. However, given that this is a summer tire, it is not intended to be used on snow/ice, or at near freezing temperatures.
These tires are mainly designed to provide high amounts of traction at a reasonable price (though I'm not sure they got there). As such, you'll find that these tires do not have a great treadwear rating, so don't expect them to last a long time. Most drivers report getting about 20,000 miles out of a set, so if you're looking for a tire with a bit more life, there are plenty on the market to choose from. Also, given that they are used as an OE tire, you might find that they cost a bit more than others in the performance category. So if your're buying a new set of four, you can probably find a better deal than these.
